VANCOUVER 2010 EDUCATION PROGRAM EXPANDS
VANCOUVER – The web-based Vancouver 2010 Education Program has expanded to include two new initiatives that are designed to connect teachers and students in B.C. and across Canada to the Olympic and Paralympic Movements and to the 2010 Winter Games.

BEYOND 2010: WORLD-CLASS FACILITY OPENS IN VICTORIA
VICTORIA – A new, world-class sports and education centre in Victoria will help build a healthier nation and fuel Canada’s sport performance, thanks to a $24.5-million investment by the provincial government, Advanced Education and Labour Market Development Minister Murray Coell said.

VANCOUVER – Premier Gordon Campbell and Healthy Living and Sport Minister Mary Polak congratulated Vancouver’s Donavan Tildesley, who was chosen to carry the flag for the opening ceremonies of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
