Venture Capital Programs

The venture capital programs are designed to encourage investors to make equity capital investments in British Columbia small businesses that will enhance and diversify the provincial economy.  The Government of British Columbia recognizes that the creation of new small businesses and the expansion of existing ones will lead to a more healthy economy.  These programs are designed to ensure that small business has continuous access to early-stage venture capital to help develop and expand their business.  Certain ineligible transactions are not permitted under the Small Business Venture Capital Act and Regulations that program applicants should be aware of.
