TAX CREDIT BUDGET UPDATES

All equity authorizations may be suspended at any time with limited notice.  Investors should be made aware that once the tax credit limit has been reached an investment in the VCC or EBC will not qualify for tax credits.

The 2008 tax credit budget is limited by section 29.1 of the Small Business Venture Capital Act and section 21 of the Regulations. Due to high program demand, VCCs and EBCs are encouraged to advise investors interested in receiving a tax credit to complete a Share Purchase Report as soon as possible for submission by the VCC or EBC. Tax credit certificates will not be issued on investments made once the tax credit limit has been reached.

Program registrants must report to the branch, on or before March 1st, June 1st, September 1st (and other dates that may subsequently be determined), the amount of equity capital it has raised under this authorization.

Allocations are not guaranteed.  Only Share Purchase Reports received by the branch will be recorded against the available tax credit budget.
